Message from the Warden and the CAO
Larry Martin, Warden, Oxford County (Mayor of Norwich Township)
Michal Duben, Chief Administrative Officer, Oxford County
The pandemic was still with us in 2021, but Oxford County continued to deliver.
Staff at Woodingford Lodge did an exemplary job of preventing outbreaks among long-term care residents, while Oxford County Paramedic Services went above and beyond, responding to the pandemic in new ways by providing mass vaccinations, testing, and expanding community care.
Essential Public Works services like roads, water and wastewater, waste management, and engineering continued without interruption.
Oxford County Library and Archives expanded their virtual and remote services. Tourism Oxford worked with community partners to support local businesses.
Oxford County also continued its strong financial management in 2021, with County Council passing a responsible tax increase during the pandemic that focused heavily on affordable housing and the homelessness crisis.
