The assassination of John. F. Kennedy captured the world’s attention in 1963, and the mysteries surrounding his death continue to spark debates today. Join Tillsonburg resident and renowned expert on JFK Randy Owen for a fascinating discussion on the assassination that arguably changed the course of modern history. Owen will share his extensive knowledge on the subject, reviewing the newspaper coverage from Southwestern Ontario, the many investigations that followed, and the release of official documents over the past sixty years.
Randy Owen has been researching JFK’s death since he was 11-years old. An award-winning presenter, he has published several articles on the subject and spoken at JFK conferences in the United States and Canada. He has met or interviewed key figures related to the assassination and occasionally serves as a consultant to museums and other research institutions.
This event is part of the Local History Speaker Series co-organized by Oxford County Library and Oxford County Archives. Presentations in the series focus on topics related to the history of Oxford County and its broader region.
