A partial road closure will be in effect at the beginning of construction, followed by a full road closure when construction is underway starting June 17

Lane restrictions will be in effect on Springbank Avenue at the corner of Oxford Road 15 (Parkinson Road) starting the week of June 17, followed by a full road closure from Oxford Road 15 to Keyes Drive for intersection improvements.

Construction is expected to be completed in September 2024 but is weather dependent.

During construction, local traffic is asked to use secondary entrances located out of the work zone to access local businesses. A detour route will be in place for the road closure from Oxford Road 15 and Springbank Avenue South/Juliana Drive to Oxford Road 59 (Norwich Avenue).

The work includes the implementation of a new right turn lane for northbound traffic approaching the intersection, removal and replacement of existing asphalt, ditch re-alignment, and installation of pedestrian crosswalks along the north, south and west legs of the intersection.
