For Invasive Plant Species Roadside (Phragmites) Control Program

Oxford County will be applying pesticide along rural roadsides to control Phragmites, an invasive plant species, under the Public Works exception for the promotion of health and safety. The pesticide application will take place in the Townships of Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock, Norwich, South-West Oxford, Zorra, Town of Tillsonburg, Town of Ingersoll and City of Woodstock.

Oxford County will be using the following pesticide registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada): Round Up Weather Pro (Registration No. 33653) with active ingredient Glyphosate, present as potassium salt. Pesticide application will take place on the following Oxford County rural roads: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 33, 34, 36, 37, 40, 45, 46, 47, 55, 59, 60 and 119.

Pesticide application is scheduled to begin on September 15 and end on October 28, 2022.
