Canadian Navigable Waters Act: Oxford Road 33 bridge
Oxford County hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act, for approval of the work described herein and its site and plans.
Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, Oxford County has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Common Project Search Registry under the NPP File Number 2023-411294 a description of the following work, its site and plans:
In, on, over, under, through or across the Middle Branch Thames River at Oxford Road 33 in front of Lot 11/10, Concession 5, Township of Zorra, Oxford County.
The project includes removal of existing approach asphalt and partial guide rail removal; removal of the existing concrete deck, barrier railings and prestressed concrete girders; installation of new precast prestressed concrete girders and bearings; construction of new concrete deck and semi-integral deck ends; repair of deteriorated concrete from abutments and wingwalls; new coating for substructure concrete elements; installation of new code compliant barrier system; and complete waterproofing and paving.
