COMMUNITY UPDATE

Work on the Town of Ingersoll water tower is continuing this fall and into spring 2023. Refurbishment of the tower will ensure it remains a reliable part of Ingersoll’s water system for the next 25 years.

Over the coming weeks, additional sand blasting of the exterior will take place to completely remove the old paint coatings. This work is scheduled to begin (weather permitting) on or about November 23 for approximately two weeks. Please note that due to the urgency of completing this work before the end of December, weekend work by the contractor is likely to occur. Following the completion of this sandblasting work, a zinc undercoat will be applied to the tower and the scaffold system will be removed from site. The contractor will then return to the site in May 2023 to complete the final exterior coatings and finish cleanup of the site for final completion of the project by end of June 2023. Oxford County apologizes for any disruption and thanks residents for their continued patience as we work to complete this critical infrastructure project.
