Oxford County seeks engaged citizens looking to make a difference in our community by joining the Active Transportation or Accessibility Advisory Committees. Each committee has one opening for a citizen member for the remainder of the 2023-2026 council term. Committee members work collaboratively to provide advice and recommendations to Oxford County Council on matters that impact our community.
The Active Transportation Advisory Committee is mandated to promote all modes of active transportation and low-carbon travel options in Oxford County.
The Accessibility Advisory Committee provides input on the Oxford County Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, monitors federal and provincial government directives and regulations, and advocates for people living with disabilities in Oxford County.
Residents interested in applying are asked to submit, in writing or by email, an application including a resume by February 9, at 4:30 p.m. to:
