Oxford County is advising residents of two construction projects in Woodstock that will have an impact on local traffic.

The next phase of the watermain extension in northeast Woodstock began August 2, closing Oxford Road 17 from Oxford Road 4 to Township Road 13 (local traffic permitted). Motorists are asked to follow the posted detours on Township Road 13, County Road 33, and Oxford Road 60. This work is expected to run to October 2022.

Construction has also started on Oxford Road 54 (Huron Street) in Woodstock. Huron Street will be closed (local traffic permitted) from Ingersoll Avenue to Dundas Street until October 2022. Motorists will be asked to follow the posted detours at Dundas Street, Wellington Street, and Ingersoll Avenue. This Phase 2 reconstruction is part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades on Huron Street.
