Free resiliency and retention training for tourism and hospitality workers
Tourism Oxford and Community Employment Services Oxford have been working with Ontario Tourism Education Corporation (OTEC) to bring free accelerated resiliency and retention training to local tourism and hospitality workers.
OTEC offers virtual training for Ontario tourism and hospitality-sector workers. The Accelerated Resiliency & Training Series is designed for workers entering or returning to the hospitality sector. The new accelerated program is ideal for supporting and retaining staff and can be incorporated into onboarding plans for new hires.
The weekly sessions feature small, interactive classes led by certified, experienced trainers. Anyone who signs up will learn the tools to provide excellent customer service while supporting positive workplace interactions, increasing job satisfaction, and reducing burnout. This training is perfect for new employees or team members looking for a career boost. The program also offers access to self-guided eLearning courses on Self-Care and Conflict Management.
Building a resilient workforce is crucial to the tourism industry in Oxford County, and Tourism Oxford is proud to support OTEC in bringing this accelerated training to the County. The Employment Ontario Program is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario. Register today for the free sessions by contacting info@tourismskillsnet.org.
