Flag notice: Wrapped in Courage and Women Abuse Prevention Month
The Oxford County Administration Building is flying the “Wrapped in Courage” End Gender-Based Violence purple flag in recognition of November being Woman Abuse Prevention Month. The Wrapped in Courage campaign seeks to build awareness, connect survivors to services, and to call on decision makers about the social change that is needed. The flag will fly at the Oxford County Administration Building for one week.
Domestic Services Abuse Oxford (DASO) and Ingamo Homes joined Deputy Warden Jerry Acchione for the official flag-raising ceremony on Wednesday, November 1, at the Oxford County Administration Building.
Oxford County Council proclaimed November 25 as the Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women in Oxford County in 2021.
