Flags will fly at half-mast on Wednesday, December 6, at all Oxford County-owned facilities to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action Against Violence Against Women.

The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women is about remembering those who have experienced gender-based violence and those we have lost to it. It is also a time to take action.  

The Oxford County Administration Building raised the “Wrapped in Courage” End Gender-Based Violence flag for one week last month in recognition of November being Woman Abuse Prevention Month and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women / Wrapped in Courage Campaign / 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence.
