Oxford County launches new voluntary AED online registry


Emergency Preparedness Week is May 1 – 7 and Oxford County is recognizing this week with the launch of a new online registry for AEDs in our community. 


This year, the theme is Emergency Preparedness: Be Ready for Anything. From the pandemic to power outages to extreme weather events like tornadoes and floods, it's important for all residents to know the risks, make a plan and get an emergency kit.


Oxford County Paramedic Services is using this week to encourage all businesses and organizations in our community to voluntarily register their AEDs on our website: Voluntary AED Registry - Oxford County


More than 100 AEDs have been installed in public locations across the County since the Oxford County Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) Program was established in 2007, but more and more units have been installed outside of the PAD Program. The online registry will provide Oxford County Paramedic Services personnel with vital information about where these life-saving devices are all located, whether it’s in a local church or business.
