The second of Oxford County’s two special budget meetings takes place Monday, December 5 at 9:00 a.m. Download the agenda

This meeting includes:

• business plans and budgets for the Corporate Services, Council, CAO’s Office, Paramedic Services, Human Resources, and Community Planning departments;
• review of the Oxford County Library, General, and Court Security budgets;
• overall summary; and,
• pending budget adjustments.

Oxford County released the Draft 2023 Business Plan and Budget at the November 23 Council meeting. The proposed budget focuses on key County priorities, such as expanding affordable housing and addressing homelessness, investing in public works infrastructure for the County’s growing communities, and responding to Ontario’s Fixing Long-Term Care Act at Woodingford Lodge.

The draft budget projects a general levy increase (the amount to be collected through property taxes) of $70.3 million, a 5.7% increase over 2022.

The budget will move forward for final consideration at the regularly scheduled County Council meeting on January 11, 2023.
