Future Oxford Speaker Series highlights renewable energy

This spring’s series, led by Smart Energy Oxford, invites residents and business to learn from experts and champions

As a global society, we generate and use more energy than ever before. It is an essential part of everyday life and vital to run our homes, businesses and vehicles. Most people recognize the environmental and financial benefits of energy conservation, but how can individuals and businesses conserve energy when the demand is continually increasing?

Future Oxford, in partnership with the Oxford County Library, will highlight the question of renewable energy through its spring Future Oxford Speaker Series at two different virtual events in May and June. Smart Energy Oxford is inviting residents to learn more about the hydrogen industry from an engineer at Enbridge and to explore Woodstock General Hospital’s journey toward sustainability, including conservation, solar power and electric vehicle charging.

The virtual series will be hosted on Facebook Live. No registration is required to watch or participate. Each session will include a 10-minute presentation and 10 minutes designated for questions and answers. Each session will also include recommendations for related programming, books and online resources.
