Flag notice: Wrapped in Courage and Women Abuse Prevention Month

The Oxford County Administration Building is flying the “Wrapped in Courage” End Gender-Based Violence purple flag in recognition of November being Woman Abuse Prevention Month. The Wrapped in Courage campaign seeks to build awareness, connect survivors to services, and to call on decision makers about the social change that is needed. Oxford County has completed the 2024 Water and Wastewater Master Plan (W/WW MP) Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study. The W/WW MP has identified the preferred water and wastewater servicing solutions to meet Oxford's growth needs to 2046 as well as provide effective ongoing continuity to existing serviced settlements.

Notices of completion: Transportation Master Plan and Water and Wastewater Master Plan

Final reports for the Transportation Master Plan and Water and Wastewater Master Plan have been posted online on the public record for a 30-day review period starting November 1 and ending November 30, 2023.

Water service interruption in Mount Elgin (Oct 27)

Oxford County staff are responding to a temporary water service interruption in Mount Elgin.
The Mount Elgin water distribution system experienced a loss of water pressure this afternoon but water pressure has since been restored. The County is in the area now flushing the water distribution system as a precaution.
Southwestern Public Health is advising residents to flush their taps as a precautionary measure. To flush your taps:
