New! Bag tags now available through the Wasteline app

Oxford County residents can now purchase bag tags for curbside waste collection through the Wasteline app using a smartphone or other handheld device.

Bag tags are available in sheets of 10 for $20, with an option to purchase between one and five sheets at a time. Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay, with shipping via Canada Post.

Oxford County Warden Marcus Ryan will present a local landowner with the 13th annual Oxford Stewardship Award at the February 22 meeting of County Council. The award recognizes County landowners who have made exemplary contributions to the preservation and enhancement of natural features and areas, such as woodlands, wetlands, streams and meadows.

The Pan-African Flag is being flown at the Oxford County Administration Building in recognition of Black History Month. The flag will be flown for the entire month of February. All flags are currently at half-mast until end of day February 11 to mark the passing of an Oxford County employee.
