Like all municipalities in Ontario, Oxford County follows the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process (October 2000, amended 2007, 2011, and 2015) under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. when undertaking Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Studies for water, wastewater and transportation projects.

Through this approach, the potential economic, community (social) and environmental effects of a specific project are fully considered and well managed before the project is implemented.
