Public Notice: Surface Treatment Resurfacing Oxford Road 19 Between Oxford Road 59 to Base Line
About this project
Oxford County has awarded a contract to apply single surface treatment on Oxford Road 19, between Oxford Road 59 and Base Line, to Walker Construction Limited of Niagara Falls, Ontario. The work includes asphalt padding, single surface treatment with stress absorbing material, and new pavement markings.
The first stage of the work is asphalt padding, followed by surface treatment resurfacing, and finally new pavement markings. Work is anticipated to begin July 2023 and be completed by August 2023.
What you need to know
The road will remain open throughout construction. The contractor will complete the work using lane restrictions and speed reductions. County staff and the contractor will make every reasonable effort to maintain access for residents and businesses within the active construction zone.
Please continue to have your regular household waste and recyclables to the roadside by 7:00 a.m. on your regular pick up day. If access for waste collection is interrupted by construction, the contractor will collect your bins and containers and take them to a central location for collection. Property owners are asked to mark garbage and recycling containers with their house number so they can be returned to the correct properties.
Please reduce speed and obey construction warning signage within the work zone. Maintain a safe distance from construction equipment and workers while entering and leaving the construction limits.
