Woodingford Lodge confirming first COVID-19-related death of a resident

Statement

It is with a heavy heart that we share Woodingford Lodge has had its first COVID-19-related death. A resident from the Woodstock site succumbed to COVID-19 on January 12, 2022. There remains six residents who have tested positive in this home area at the Woodstock site, which is isolated from other parts of the home.

Our sympathies are with the family at this sad and difficult time. I know that Woodingford’s management team and staff share their sadness.

Oxford County issues reminder about winter driving safety

This winter, Public Works crews in Oxford County will be salting, sanding, and plowing to keep our roads safe for driving. With snow mixed with high winds in the forecast for Oxford County Public Works is reminding drivers to slow down and give our snow plow operators space to work.

Oxford County COVID-19 services update

Some Oxford County services are making interim changes in response to the Government of Ontario’s temporary move to Modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen.

This includes a return to curbside service for Oxford County Library branches, virtual service for Oxford County Archives, the Saturday closure of the landfill at the Waste Management Facility, and a pause to general visits and social outings at Woodingford Lodge.

Purpose

Oxford County developed a Cycling Master Plan to enhance its current cycling initiatives, identify opportunities for commuter cycling, and provide on-road connectivity to local cycling and off-road trail networks.
