Notice of Construction: Ingersoll Sanitary Sewer Lining

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • During construction, traffic will be impacted. Construction crews will occupy a lane of traffic. During working hours, the contractor will direct opposing lanes of traffic to pass the construction area. During non-working hours, traffic will be reinstated to two lanes. The contractor will be required to maintain access to all properties. Still, some short-term interruptions may occur while working in front of each property. Delays and interruptions can be expected during this work.
  • The contractor will provide written notice to you 48 hours before they commence installing the sanitary sewer liner in front of your house. This notice will contain more detailed information about the work they are undertaking and their contact information. During the installation of the sanitary liner, it is important to minimize your use of water as the sanitary sewer will not be able to receive sanitary flows from your residence or business.
  • If access to waste collection happens to be interrupted by construction, the contractor will collect your bins and containers and take them to a central location for collection. Homeowners are asked and encouraged to mark garbage and recycling containers with their house numbers so they can be returned to the correct properties.

COVID-19

  • Given the developing situation around COVID-19, the County and all contractors/sub-contractors working on behalf of the County are committed to following the recommended precautionary measures within other safety imperatives to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Oxford County is continually monitoring this situation as it develops and the ongoing challenges related to the spread of COVID-19.
  • This works has been deemed essential to County infrastructure. It is considered essential as per the provincial directives and mandates.
  • An Oxford County inspector will be on-site periodically inspecting the contractor's work and monitoring activities.
