COVID-19 cases at Woodingford Lodge-Woodstock 

Woodingford Lodge-Woodstock is currently in outbreak status with two reported cases of COVID-19 among residents and two among employees. Residents are being cared for in a negative pressure COVID-19 isolation area and (PCR) swab testing is ongoing for staff and residents. There are no cases of COVID-19 at either of Woodingford Lodge’s sites in Tillsonburg and Ingersoll. Under the Government of Ontario’s emergency declaration, all three sites are closed to visitors with the exception of designated essential caregivers. Waste Management Facility (landfill) temporarily closed to public for 28 days

Effective January 14, the landfill at the Waste Management Facility (landfill) in Salford will be temporarily closed to the public (residential customers) for 28 days, or longer if the provincial emergency order is extended. The facility will remain open Monday to Friday only to serve essential businesses and services.
 


Provincial Offences Act court closure extended

Provincial Offences Courts have resumed for limited matters (early resolutions, set date, adjournments, etc.) by audio (telephone) appearance only. There will be no in-person or trial court dates until January 25, 2021, at the earliest. If you have received a summons to appear in Provincial Offences Court after January 25, 2021, your matter will proceed via telephone or Zoom. Oxford County Library extends site closures in Ingersoll and Tillsonburg

Oxford County Library branches in Ingersoll and Tillsonburg have extended their site closures from the holiday lockdown that began on December 26. The Oxford County Library will offer curbside pickup at all 14 branches during the lockdown with delivery to patron vehicles, if preferred. All appropriate health and safety protocols will be in place to protect staff and patrons. Library patrons are encouraged to plan their trip to the library while already out running essential errands. The Library can help select items for patrons, and make book recommendations based on reading interests. Email curbsidebooks@ocl.net with any questions about this service.

Oxford Economic Stimulus Fund provides $90,000 in stimulus grants

The Oxford Economic Stimulus Fund has provided COVID-19-related stimulus grants to five local organizations in Oxford County in its first release of funds totalling $90,000. More.

  

Bag tags now available online

Based on feedback, bag tags are now available through online purchasing at www.wasteline.ca/bagtags. Bag tags remain available where many shop for food, gasoline and convenience items and can still be purchased on those outings. Read more about online bag tag purchasing.

  

County Council during COVID-19

In compliance with the State of Emergency declared by the Province of Ontario due to COVID-19, specifically measures to limit public gatherings and reinforce physical distancing, all Oxford County Council meetings are being held electronically until further notice. Accessing service at Oxford County Administration Building

The Oxford County Administration Building is serving the public by telephone, email, or appointment between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. only. This means the general public will not be allowed to enter the building without a pre-booked appointment except for deliveries. The designated entry point for all pre-booked visits is the Peel Street entrance (south doors). Once you enter for an appointment, you will have to go through a screening process that includes taking your temperature with a touch-free infrared thermometer. You will also be asked to wear a face covering while on site.

Oxford County Human Services (social assistance, housing and children’s services) is serving residents by pre-booked appointment only, or by telephone or email. If you're a social housing tenant, please note that maintenance repairs will be limited to essential ones that impact safety. Oxford County Archives

The Oxford County Archives office is currently closed. Archives staff continue to respond to research inquiries through email at archives@oxfordcounty.ca or by phone at 519-539-9800, ext. 3071.
