Oxford County Council

Oxford County Council is comprised of the Mayors of seven of our eight Area Municipalities including, Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock, Ingersoll, Norwich, South-West Oxford, Tillsonburg and Zorra, who are elected every four years through the municipal election process.  In the case of Woodstock, the Mayor and two Councillors who run for City/County positions, are the representatives to County Council.  

Each municipality elects its own Council and Mayor who is the head of their local Council.

The head of County Council is the Warden who is also elected every four years by a vote of Council.  The Acting Warden is elected by Council to assume the responsibilities of the Warden in his/her absence.
