Nutritional Services Review

The Oxford County Long-Term Care Nutritional Review took place over 2022 with financial support from Ontario's Municipal Modernization Fund. The review looked at the quality and cost-efficiency of the existing nutritional service (meal) delivery at Woodingford Lodge’s three long-term care sites in Woodstock, Tillsonburg and Ingersoll. It found that Woodingford is providing high-quality meals to residents, but could consider more menu choices among other enhancements.

Application for new Woodingford site in Ingersoll

On January 25, 2023, Oxford County Council unanimously endorsed submitting an application for provincial funding to build a new, minimum 160-bed long-term care home in Ingersoll. If approved, this project would bring much-needed long-term care beds to the County, specifically Ingersoll, which has the lowest number of beds among the Oxford communities providing long-term care. The project would draw on the resources and staff expertise of Alexandra Hospital and the existing 34-bed Woodingford facility in Ingersoll under a “campus of care” model, providing exemplary service to seniors and others and potentially creating more than 200 jobs in our community.
