Energy conservation and efficiency are important steps in Oxford County’s goal of reaching 100 per cent renewable energy by 2050. With rising energy costs a concern for many people in the community, Oxford County is asking residents about the ways they are monitoring their energy use, and what energy options they may consider in the future.
The Community Energy Survey lets Oxford County residents offer their input on how the County can support residents in improving energy efficient at home. The survey will be open from May 3 to May 12, 2017 and takes approximately five minutes to complete. Residents are encouraged to have a copy of their most recent electricity bill handy to fully complete the survey questions.
All Oxford County Residents who complete this survey will be eligible for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate from a local restaurant featured on the Oxford County Cheese Trail.
The Community Energy Survey is being conducted in partnership with a team of MBA students from the Ivey Business School at Western University, who are studying the promotion of local government programs aimed at the adoption of renewable energy. Results are being used by Oxford County to advance goals and objectives in the100% Renewable Energy Plan.
