Oxford Road 9 (Ingersoll Rd.) - Phase 1 Road reconstruction and bridge rehabilitation
Oxford County is upgrading sections of sanitary sewer and watermain from Dundas Street to Park Row to meet existing and future water and wastewater flow demands in the City of Woodstock. As part of this construction, the bridge at Ingersoll Road just south of Dundas Street will undergo rehabilitation.
Construction is expected to begin the week of August 3 and will continue for approximately five months in your area. Work includes new watermain, new sanitary sewer, manholes, private drain connections where needed, private water connections where needed, new fire hydrants, and road reconstruction including repaving.
Ingersoll Road from Main Street to Dundas Street will be closed to through traffic (local traffic only) throughout construction. The contractor is required to maintain access to all nearby properties (including businesses), although some interruption may occur for short periods of time.
Garbage and recycling
During construction the contractor will collect garbage and recycling on normal curbside pick-up days and transport it to a suitable location for collection. Bins and containers will be returned to your driveway by the end of the day.
Oxford County and all contractors/sub-contractors working on behalf of the County are committed to following public health measures, within other safety imperatives, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
An Oxford County inspector will be on site periodically performing inspection of contractors work and monitoring site activities.
